ZTE Max XL Is A Budget-Tier Phone With A 6" Full HD Display
ZTE has unveiled a new budget-tier smartphone, the ZTE Max XL. This phone packs a ginormous 6-inch display with a Full HD resolution, and does so solidly within the budget-tier: the price sits at a modest $128 USD. Joining the huge display is a very sleek, somewhat minimalist and modern design not unlike the kind found on higher-end handsets. The phone has launched at Boost Mobile.
The ZTE Max XL is a big phone for users who want something cheap but ample. The Full HD 6-inch display is a rarity among such prepaid smartphones, giving consumers in the prepaid market a new option in the phablet category. The IPS display includes Gorilla Glass 3 for extra durability, and there's also a 3,990mAh battery offering up to nearly 27 hours of talk time per charge.
Under the hood lies a 1.4GHz octa-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. Those who find that too small can expand the storage by up to another 128GB via the microSD card slot. Other notable features include USB-C for charging, a fingerprint sensor for extra security, HD Voice support, and Bluetooth 4.2.
Around back, meanwhile, lies a 13-megapixel rear camera with zoom and flash joined by a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset supports 4G LTE and runs Android 7.1.1. Nougat. Features specific to Boost Mobile include mobile hotspot support and an add-on option for roaming in Mexico. The phone has a $129.99 MSRP and is listed for $102 USD on Boost Mobile's site with promotional pricing.
