VW Tarok Concept Gallery

Volkswagen has a second MQB-based pickup, with the Tarok Concept making its Brazilian debut this week. Following on from the VW Atlas Tanoak that the automaker brought to the US back in March 2018, the Tarok Concept promises more flexibility. That comes courtesy of a very unusual bed design.

Not only can you drop the tailgate down to extend it, but push cargo into the cabin, too. A rear panel opens, the three rear seats fold down, and then you get even more capacity for longer items. Meanwhile, short overhangs and a lower tailgate hinge mean the rear sill allows for easier access, too.

Inside, there's a digital dashboard with twin displays. 4MOTION all-wheel-drive is standard, and VW says that when it launches the production version in Brazil it will have both a gasoline/ethanol engine and a diesel engine to choose between.
