The 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine has been tuned for 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph comes in 4.9 seconds, VW claims, and you get a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle-shifters. 4Motion all-wheel drive is standard.
A new body kit gets changes front and rear, and there's a beefy diffuser and new tailpipes. VW will offer 18- and 19-inch wheels, with a rather fetching matte finish option, too. Inside, special detailing and new trim lift the cabin design.
