Video: Galaxy Note 4 Running Early Lollipop Build
Android Lollipop, as we know, is slowly rolling out. Google has distanced themselves a bit from the timing of the latest Android OS hitting your device, and that's for their phones. If you've got a device with a skin, like one from LG, HTC, or Samsung, the wait could be much longer. If you've got a Note 4 from Samsung, we've got good news for you: a new video shows Lollipop running on your device. We gotta say, it looks awesome.
You're not getting a bone stock Android, as Samsung likes to take their own approach to what Android should be, but Material Design is evident throughout. Samsung has done an appropriately good job of taking what they already had, and styling it enough to make you remember Android is buried in there somewhere.
What you see in the video below is nowhere near final, it seems, but it's enough to suggest Samsung is hard at work, and probably putting some finishing touches on their flavor of Lollipop. It seems Samsung's own apps have yet to receive the Lollipop treatment, though, so it will be interesting to see if the notoriously defiant Samsung chooses to implement the visual changes from Android in their apps.
The Note 4 has no announced timeframe for getting Lollipop, unfortunately, so this video will have to do for now.
