Verizon To Roll Out Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Update For HTC Trophy Today

Verizon announced that it will begin rolling out the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update to HTC Trophy handsets starting today. Microsoft had just released the Mango update this morning to select handsets such as the HTC HD7, Samsung Focus, and the Dell Venue Pro. Existing Windows Phone 7 users will have to wait for an alert on their handsets to notify them that the update is ready for their device.

If you're too eager to find out when your device will get the update and you haven't received any notices from your carrier, you can check out Microsoft's Where's my phone update? page. Many phones are listed as "scheduling" right now, which should be followed soon by a "delivering" phase.

The update for the HTC Trophy, however, should begin rolling out sometime today as announced directly by Verizon. The carrier has also provided its own page for the handset that includes Windows Phone 7.5 capabilities and installation instructions. Once it arrives, you will need to install the update via the Zune software on your Windows PC or via the Windows Phone 7 Connector on your Mac.
