Valve Confirms April 9 Release For Individual Orange Box Titles

The Orange Box was easily one of my favorite gaming purchases from last year. While I did already own Half-Life 2, I was able to gift that particular game to one of my friends. The rest of the games have provided me with countless hours of fun. The only downside was that (aside from using Steam) you couldn't purchase the games separate from the bundle. If you've been waiting to pick up Portal at your local store, you've only got a little more than a month to wait.

Valve has finally confirmed that April 9th is the date that we will be seeing Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Portal hitting store shelves. While they didn't give pricing details, portal is expected to be $19.99 while the other two are $29.99.

Personally, I don't really see myself buying many more Valve products off the shelf. It's just so much easier to purchase and download them via Steam. Plus there's that little hippie in my head that tells me how great it is for the environment since you aren't wasting paper on the cardboard box.
