These are the Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 specs to look out for next week

Google has an event ready next week, October 4 to be exact, where it is expected, with very little doubt left, to announce its second gen "Made by Google" Pixel phones. Naturally, that means that rumors and insider tips are rushing out in full force. This latest bunch collected by Android Authority pretty much sums up all that there is to know about the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. And, suffice it to say, they will be just as divisive as their predecessors.

Google giveth, and Google taketh away. For example, it will supposedly put dual stereo front speakers on both smartphone models, but it will take away the still loved 3.5 mm headphone jack. The larger Pixel XL 2 will have a better screen to body ratio and Wide Color Gamut, but not the Pixel 2. The smaller pixel will, naturally, also have a smaller battery.

There might be some peculiar new features in both smartphones, though. Both, for example, might feature Active Edge, a.k.a. HTC's squeezable Edge Sense technology. Both will also have dual cameras and a dedicated "Google Imaging Chip", but only one of the two cameras might have OIS, if any.

Here's a quick rundown of the specs we've heard of so far:
