Tesla Roadster prototype interior snapped

Yesterday we talked about the new images of the red Tesla Roadster prototype in action and the white Roadster shell that can't drive. Someone has been able to snap some images of that non-functional white Roadster shell to give us an idea of what the interior might be like. Before you glance at the images, know that the shell lacks a full interior.

A glimpse through the window shows that the Roadster shell has headrests and a platform that sits beneath the dash. This means that we can't see what the interior of the production car will look like. The images have shed light on how large the interior will be.

You certainly can't expect Model S or even Model 3 levels of interior space in this car, it is much smaller and meant to be a supercar. What we can see is a nice look at what sort of space Tesla has laid out for the backseat. Backseat and supercar don't often go together.

The smallish backseat looks as if it would be a decent place for smaller kids or pets to ride, but not where you would want to cram a full-size adult. The rear seat space rather looks on par with what you would see in a Ford Mustang. Room for kids, bags, and pets and that is about it.

If you order the strange SpaceX package there will apparently be no back seat. The tanks and pumps that power the cold air thrusters would take up that space. Tesla plans to launch the new Roadster by 2020 where it will reign as the fastest and quickest ride in all the land if all goes to plan.
