Super Smash Bros Wii U Debut: Watch Real Gameplay Now

Today Nintendo released Super Smash Bros for Wii U, the fifth installment in the series and close companion to Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS. While the video game streaming service Twitch is not native to the Wii U, several means of transmission allow the game to be streamed by 3rd parties. As such, supposing the reviews you've read so far weren't enough to convince you to check this game out, today we're tapping in to some of the most active streams available to the public. Watch as the Smash action unfolds right this instant.

Before you do anything, note that the following streams have Autoplay set to OFF. While most Twitch streams you'll see play automatically, we've opted to allow you to choose which streams you'd like playing at which time. Play one, two, three, or all the streams at once if you want!

Above you're seeing the LIRIK team play Smash for Wii U. Note that this team is working with several different parts of the game, so you might not always see them rolling with the traditional Smash Bros multiplayer format.

NOTE: Watch out for the occasional swear word in these streams. SlashGear is not responsible for the content shared in these open streams, each of them coming from 3rd-party teams.

Below you'll see Giantwaffle playing multiplayer Smash Bros for Wii U at a rather high frame-rate. They've made an effort to send out what very much appears to be 60FPS gameplay direct from the console.

Next you'll see CosmoWright playing Smash Bros for Wii U vs StrongBadam. CosmoWright is generally a speed runner, meaning he's known for rolling through single player games with extreme swiftness. Here he's playing multiplayer 1 v 1 Smash.

Finally – for all those viewers who will be watching for hours and hours on end – there's the 24-hour Super Smash Bros for Wii U marathon from ScrwAttack. When this article is published, this team has four players playing at any one time – there may be more or less depending on if anyone passes out.

This game follows the release of the 3DS iteration released on October 3rd, 2014 in the United States, while the Wii U version was released just this morning in the USA, followed by Euro releases on the 28th, Australia on the 29th, and Japan on December 6th.

Below you'll see a number of Super Smash Bros for Wii U articles posted in the past week – all the information you could possibly need on this release, out right this minute for Wii U.
