What Really Happened To West Coast Choppers' Jesse James
By JOE CAPRARO
Jesse James and his custom motorcycle shop, West Coast Choppers, became instantly famous with the debut of the wildly popular Discovery Channel series “Monster Garage” in 2002.
However, James became the subject of multiple controversies, including a divorce from Sandra Bullock, violations of California emissions laws, and the West Coast Choppers logo.
James closed his Long Beach West Coast Choppers shop in 2010 and relocated to Austin, Texas, where he mainly focuses on his business, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited.
In 2020, there were reports that “Monster Garage” was to be rebooted, but in an interview with Graham Bensinger, James revealed that the COVID pandemic had interrupted the revival.
Although the pandemic has subsided, the Monster Garage revival remains on hold, giving James further time to focus on his family and his two Austin-based businesses.
