What Makes Kawasaki’s Motorcycle Transmissions Truly Unique
By DANIEL TROCK
Motorcycle riders with manual transmissions often need to shift to neutral, whether to park or stop at a red light. However, it can be hard to know if you’re there.
Luckily, Kawasaki motorcycles solved this issue with the Positive Neutral Finder, which automatically shifts a stationary bike into neutral gear when the shift lever is pressed.
The transmission has a set of ball bearings that lock into place when the motorcycle stops moving, preventing the bike from shifting into second gear so it defaults to neutral.
