Waze Vs. Google Maps: Which Is The Better Android Auto App?

At their core, both Waze and Google Maps are largely the same app. Both will take you where you need to be, but Waze prioritizes the fastest route available.
This makes Waze a perfect fit for people looking for speed over everything. Google Maps suggests alternate routes, while Waze automatically updates the quickest path available.
It comes with easy-to-read traffic reports that let you know ahead of time what problems you'll be running into, making Waze the clear winner when it comes to raw navigation.
However, Waze doesn't provide as much information as Google Maps, which will give you the hours, phone number, reviews, and photos of any given business on the map.
With Waze, the results can vary from place to place. Trying two different Burger King restaurants in the area gave different information; one gave the hours, while another didn't.
Waze can also get distracting with the ad placements, while Google Maps has nothing of the sort. Moreover, Waze falls way behind on foot traffic, as it will not map out a footpath.
Overall, the choice is based on preference. Waze gets a clear edge in navigation, while Google Maps has a lot of name recognition.
