Want To Change The App Icons On Your iPhone And iPad? Here's How
By GABRIEL MOSS
Since the iOS 14 update, iPhone and iPad users have been able to customize the icons on their device's home screen. To do so, be sure you’re upgraded to the latest version of iOS.
You can't technically change the original app icons on your iPhone or iPad, but you can create customized shortcuts using the Shortcuts app on your home screen.
First, open the Shortcuts home screen and tap on the plus sign at the upper right corner of the screen. Tap the "Add Action" button and search for "Open App" in the search bar.
On the next screen, tap on the faded blue part of "Open App" to select which app to customize, then tap on the three lines icon to the left of the X icon in the right corner.
On the next page, tap the option "Add to Home Screen," then rename your shortcut and select the image you'd like to use for it. Now your customized shortcut is ready to go.
