These Are The Chevy 350 V8 Engine's Best & Worst Years
By JOHN DAVIS
The Chevy 350 V8 is one of the most popular engines ever built. Its variations have powered numerous GM vehicles between 1967 and 2002, including the iconic 1967 Chevy Camaro.
Although the 350 is widely known for its intense reliability, power, and versatility, certain iterations stand out as the best, while others are considered the worst.
The 1970 LT-1, the 1992 L98, and the 2002 L31 outshine other versions of the engine due to their power and reliability during their respective eras.
While the 1970 LT-1 was able to escape the new laws, the required emissions control systems in the 350s produced during the ‘70s and ‘80s were left riddled with performance issues.
Luckily, by the early 1990s, GM figured out its emissions system issues, and the small block 350 rose once again to unparalleled fame and popularity.
