The Most Expensive Cars Ever Made By Mercedes
By DAVE MCQUILLING
15. G650 Landaulet
While sports cars, supercars, or hypercars typically dominate lists of the most expensive vehicles, the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is an exception.
Only 99 examples of the luxury SUV were built and sold for at least half a million when produced in 2017. In 2020, one Landaulet was listed for $1.8 million.
14. CLK-GTR Roadster
The Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Roadster is the first of only six CLK GTR roadsters Mercedes produced and the only one with a black paint job.
When new, the CLK-GTR Roadster retailed for $1.5 million and was the most expensive production car in the world. Bonhams auctioned it off for close to $1.9 million in 2015.
13. SLR Stirling Moss
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss is a tribute to the 300 SLR that the racing legend of the same name used to win the 1955 Mille Miglia.
Mercedes only manufactured 75 of these cars. The SLR Stirling Moss had an estimated price of $2,550,000 to $2,750,000 but ultimately did not sell.
12. ONE
The highly-anticipated Mercedes-AMG ONE blends the German automaker's storied Formula One history with the expertise of its performance department.
Only 275 will be produced in total, which began shipping in 2023. The vehicles were sold out long ago for the hefty $2.7 million per car.
11. 500K Roadster
The 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K roadster wasn't legally sold, as it was owned by German industrialist Hans Prym — who was jailed at the end of World War Two.
The car was eventually bought by Frans van Haren for $3.76 million. Unfortunately for him, it was seized as the courts deemed it was the rightful property of Prym's grandchildren.
