The Honda Electric SUV Every American Should Be Furious Isn't Sold In The States
By ALEX HEVESY
Honda's e:Ny1 has an electric motor that generates just over 200 horsepower and 228 ft-lb of torque. It has a range of 256 miles, similar to cars like the Tesla Model 3.
Unfortunately, the e:Ny1 isn't coming to the U.S. any time soon. While there are many high-end models in the U.S. market, there are few in the way of entry-level EVs.
Honda's decidedly European-centric SUV would likely do well performance-wise in the U.S., but it could shake up the market, which has been dominated by Tesla.
The reason for its exclusion is unclear, though sales data and other factors may have informed Honda's decision not to bring the e:Ny1 to America.
