The 10 Rarest Cars Nicolas Cage Has Ever Owned
By MARK COWLEY
Ferrari 275 GTB/4
Nicolas Cage bought his 275 GTB/4 in 2007 and sold it to a U.K.-based collector in 2014. Finished in its original color of Argento, the car had a leather interior.
Launched in 1966, this model was the first production Ferrari to feature the brand’s cutting-edge four-cam V12 engine. With a top speed of 166 mph, it was quite fast for its era.
Ferrari 250 GT
Cage’s Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder was first bought in 1959 by a Dr. Carlo Innocenti of Rome and exported to the U.S. in 1972 by racing driver Luigi Chinetti.
It was then owned by three more people before ending up with Cage. Owned by Cage from 2003 to 2007, the car was finished in deep black, with a matching black fabric soft-top roof.
Porsche 356
The 356 Speedster was launched in the U.S. in 1954. Nicholas Cage owned a 1955 model with white paintwork, a tan folding roof, and a matching tan leather interior.
The 356 was popular for its race-ready nature. After Cage sold his 356, it was given a full restoration, and it crossed the auction block at RM Sotheby's for over $255,000 in 2017.
Jaguar XKSS
Cage owned a Jaguar XKSS built by Lynx Engineering in the U.K. The model was popular for being a near-identical replica of the Jaguar D-Type's road-going counterpart.
Cage is said to have sold the car to a U.K.-based owner in 2011 or 2012. It was subsequently sold at a Bonhams auction in 2014 for £384,540, or roughly $660,000 (at the time).
Lamborghini Miura
Nicolas Cage bought his most high-profile Lamborghini — a 1971 Miura P400 SVJ, chassis number 4934, which once belonged to the Shah of Iran — in 1997 for $446,820.
Cage sold the car to an English collector in 2004. One of only four SVJs ever built, it now has the license plate "71 SVJ" and has been sent back for a full restoration after 2004.
