How Many Bombers Does The U.S. Air Force Actually Have?
By PATRICK PHILLIPS
Since World War II, the United States military has kept a vast fleet of long-range bombers, but in the age of drone warfare, piloted bombers are being used less and less.
Despite the decrease in usefulness, the United States Air Force still has 140 bombers on hand that are certified mission-ready, per the official USAF website.
Per recent reports, that number will grow in the coming years as the Air Force ramps up production on the long-in-development B-21 Raider.
