Hidden Features That Will Change The Way You Use iMessage

Inline Replies
Inline replies allow users to address a message or ask questions about a text that a wave of new messages, gifs, and photos may have buried.
Scroll to the relevant message and long press on it, then select reply from the menu. Your message will now be pegged to the intended topic.
Pin Conversations
Those with many contacts may have found whole conversations disappearing in an ever-growing list of correspondences. Luckily, you can pin important conversations.
When you long press on a conversation, the Message app will give you a small menu with an option to pin. They will then appear at the top of the app as a larger icon.
Screen Effects
While texting can deliver your messages, it has limitations in expressing tone and intent. You can solve this problem by adding screen effects to your messages.
After you've typed a message but before you hit send, press and hold on the send button, and you'll be sent to a menu with several effects.
Filters
Every time you give your number out, you risk becoming swamped with a barrage of junk texts. However, there is a solution using filters to separate these unknown texts.
Navigate to the settings app, tap messages, and select "filter unknown senders." Any message from an unknown contact will now be filtered into a separate list.
Tagging
Group chats are increasingly used to keep friend groups or work teams in contact with one another, making tagging individuals essential when addressing specific people.
You can do this by writing the name of the person you want to tag; it will change colors. Click their name, then their contact card to transform their name into a tag.
