Here's How Long A Tesla Cybertruck Battery Will Likely Last
By JAMES DOLAN
In 2019, Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s futuristic Cybertruck prototype and made certain promises about the automaker’s first electric pickup truck — for instance, an acceleration speed from zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds. However, one crucial feature is its battery range and how long it will last before needing a charge.
According to Tesla, the Cybertruck will have a battery range of up to 500 miles, the longest range for an electric pickup truck. Tesla will likely use 4680 battery cells to get more battery range out of the vehicle while reducing the price to give it an advantage over its competitors like the Ford F-150 Lightning, currently the best-selling electric pickup.
Other Tesla vehicles have batteries that can last between 300k to 500k miles before needing a replacement and a warranty that covers 150,000 miles or eight years. Scheduled to come out of the factory line in 2023, the Cybertruck is believed to have the same warranty and a battery pack that can last over 300k miles.
