Do Milwaukee & Ryobi Tools Come From The Same Factory?
By ALEX HEVESY
While Ryobi caters its lineup to more DIY-focused patrons, Milwaukee advertises more to professionals. However, both are owned by Techtronic Industries, a Hong Kong-based company.
Techtronic Industries, or TTi, operates factories in several countries, including the United States, China, Mexico, Vietnam, and more in Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia.
TTi has 10 offices and factories in Asia and 28 more spread across the rest of the world. Ryobi and Milwaukee have their own separate offices and distribution facilities in the US.
TTi claims to have "diversified its global production,” so your average Ryobi or Milwaukee tool likely consists of parts made in different factories scattered around the world.
While the Venn diagram of factories making Milwaukee and Ryobi products is not a singular circle, there is some crossover, as with every company using global production facilities.
