Cool 3D Printer Projects You’ve Probably Never Thought Of

Action Figures
While most people don’t have the machinery required to create action figures, they can still 3D print their own using stereolithography (STL) files found online.
These 3D-printed action figures come in two forms: an entire one-piece model that fits on a single STL file or in multiple pieces you must assemble before use.
Preparing these accessories does take some work, such as assembling the different pieces and treating them to get rid of print lines, but the extra effort can be worth it.
Tabletop gaming like "Warhammer 40K" or "Dungeons & Dragons" can be a fun yet expensive hobby due to miniatures. Luckily, your 3D printer can help with costs.
Numerous online stores and subscription services sell STL files for miniatures. Like action figures, they come in either complete models or model parts.
Thanks to the spread of 3D printing, people can now produce their own lamps and lighting decorations that house LEDs for ambient lighting around their homes.
While you can buy model kits at a hobby shop, you can also try printing one. 3D-printed model kits are relatively rare, but you can find them if you know where to look.
3D-printed model kits produce a plastic "card" filled with parts of varying shapes and sizes, similar to store-bought versions made via injection molding.
