Are Lexus Engines Made In The Same Factory As Toyota’s?

Toyota has owned the luxury car brand Lexus since 1983. While the two auto companies are close, their cars aren’t always manufactured in the same facilities.
Lexus operates with more autonomy from its parent company, reportedly running many of its own design, engineering, and manufacturing facilities.
The two brands still share production facilities in Japan and the United States, ensuring some of their engines are still made within the same factory.
A MotorTrend article about Lexus’ history points out that the shared lineage is a reason why Lexus engines are generally more endurable and reliable than many other luxury brands.
