By MARINEL SIGUE
Drive-Thru Sign
Using six Raspberry Pi 4 boards, The Rice Box, based in Houston, Texas, created a digital menu sign for the establishment.
The Chinese-American takeout joint is designed to resemble a futuristic dining establishment, with its sci-fi-inspired interior and flashy neon lights.
Keyboard
Developed as part of the Webstock social media event in Romania in 2012, the company introduced the Beer Cans Keyboard for its attendees to type their information.
The keyboard uses 44 beer cans and capacitive sensors that output a specific letter or symbol when touched, which were connected to a Raspberry Pi computer.
Car Horn
The internet-controlled car horn makes for a great joke and only requires a single-board computer, car horn, relay board, 12-volt battery, and compatible camera.
The project uses WebIOPi to connect the car horn to the internet, allowing you to control it from any browser. You can then log into the server to see the real-time camera footage.
