Sony Updates Slim Line TouchScreen Cybershot With DSC-T300

Another new release from Sony is the Cybershot DSC-T300 to replace current production line of DSC-T200. The Image size has bumped from 8.1 mp to 10.1 using 1/2.3" Type Super HAD CCD sensor with sensitivity up to ISO 3200. The slim line of Cybershot T series uses an improved 3.5-inch Touch-sensitive Hybrid TFT LCD and slightly wider angle Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 5x optical zoom range of 33-165mm (35mm equiv.) It's also lighter and added numerous new technologies that raise eyebrows.

The camera can detect and dynamically switch between five scene modes, auto trigger the shutter when it detects a smile, face detect with priority for adults or children, search through scene by face, improved focusing at close distance, with the assistant of image stabilization. It also has an intelligent iSCN, Idiot proof mode that allows users to set their own settings and automatically take a 2nd shot with optimized setting if the camera determines the image taken isn't ideal. It will be available in red, black and silver in March for about $400.
