Samsung M7600 Gets B&O Audio And DJ Functionality
Images of the upcoming Samsung M7600 touchscreen music phone have leaked, complete with details regarding the company's latest cooperation with audio specialists Bang & Olufsen. As you might expect, the M7600 takes a distinctly musical approach to mobility, with its 2.8-inch AMOLED display offering up a virtual DJ turntable for on-device editing of tracks.
In addition, the Samsung M7600 has 3G HSDPA connectivity, GPS and a 3-megapixel camera with flash. Bang & Olufsen are believed to have added their amplification know-how, and there's also DivX support for playing high-resolution video on what we're predicting will be a great display.
It sounds as though Samsung have been eyeing up the Pacemaker PMP and borrowing some of the functionality that standalone DJ device offers – including on-the-fly filters and samples. The Samsung M7600 is expected in May 2009, no word on which carrier might support it or how much it'll go for.
