Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date And Specs Get A Tweaked Update
This week as we draw ever-nearer to the release and reveal of the Samsung Galaxy S8, we've received some tweaked specs and details. As such, we're passing them on to you – with a reminder that until Samsung reveals the Galaxy S8 line themselves, no information is official. This set of updates comes from anonymous sources with information close to the subject matter – the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus in this case.
Images shown in this article come from the past several weeks of leaks and renderings done by skilled case-makers and case-making affiliates. Above you'll find an image crated by the designer WaaNee – aka WoOS. This is just one of a collection of renderings done using pre-official specs, likely gotten from case-makers with sources in manufacturing lines.
Below you'll find our updated set of specifications for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. Both devices have nearly the same specifications – cameras, number of pixels across their displays, wireless abilities – but one is quite a bit larger than the other. This once again puts the company directly in line with Apple's war for the two phones that'll dominate the smartphone market across the planet.

Rumors suggest that the first place we'll catch an official glimpse of this device – or at least its name – is at MWC 2017. There Samsung has an "Unpacked" event scheduled where they'll more than likely show off a new tablet with "Note" abilities. There it's suggested we'll see a teaser for the Galaxy S8.
The big event for the Galaxy S8, on the other hand, is suggested by insider sources to be taking place on March 29th, 2017. That's not too far away – nor is the tipped release date of April 21st. That release date likely points to a USA, Europe, and Asia launch. As it has been in the past, so too can we expect that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be released on all major carriers in the United States.
