Samsung CH711 Quantum Dot Curved Monitor Unveiled Ahead Of CES

Samsung has taken the wraps off its new CH711 Quantum Dot Curved monitor, something it plans to show off at CES 2017 alongside the new CF791 and CFG70 quantum dot displays. The new CH711 monitor was, says Samsung, made 'with gamers in mind.' The company will offer this model in both 27-inch and 31.5-inch sizes next year. As expected, Samsung went all out with this model, tossing in everything from a high resolution to a massive viewing angle and excellent color coverage.

The CH711 quantum dot display is, by all accounts, a beastly offering. The model is said to offer 'vivid, visually stunning picture,' something no doubt aided by its 125-percent sRGB color coverage paired with the WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution. The curved design further lends toward its appeal — says Samsung, this monitor has an 1,800R curvature.

Joining that curvature is a very wide 178-degree viewing angle, as well as a white chassis, and what Samsung describes as a 'three-sided boundless design.' The monitor's stand has a built-in area in which the power cables and video cables are stowed. The company says it will make these monitors commercially available early next year, though it hasn't revealed the prices at this time.

We'll also be seeing the two aforementioned models this upcoming CES, both of which were released this December. Both of these quantum dot monitors are said to be designed for 'hardcore gamers' and professionals alike, and they come in smaller 24-inch and 27-inch sizes.
