Richard Petty's Speed Shop Building 727hp King Mustang
NASCAR fans will recognize the name Richard Petty as "The King", a long time racecar driver and winner of many races during his career. Petty now owns a speed shop in North Carolina where his crew builds some fast cars for customers and the latest car that the company is offering is a hopped up Ford Mustang dubbed the Mustang King.
The Mustang King starts life as a stock 435hp Mustang GT and then gets massaged by the gang at Petty's Garage. The modifications include MagnaFlow exhaust, new intake system, Ford Performance supercharger, and the needed computer calibrations to make safe power with that blower.
Combined the new parts boost the power of the Mustang to 670hp. To be sure that all that power gets to the ground without breaking something, the car also gets Ford Performance half shafts, new rear axle, and adjustable anti-roll bars. Buyers wanting more power can get a smaller pulley for the blower boosting output to 727hp.
All of the cars will get HRE wheels with performance tires, center mounted exhaust exit, and a custom rear diffuser. A dash plaque signed by The King seals the deal. 57 King Premier models will be made on coupe or convertible models with larger brakes, custom leather, and Petty Blue paint stripes and accents. A base King starts at $67,495 and the Premiere is $90,495 for starters. Only 300 of the King Mustangs will be made between all models.
