Pucker up to Nintendo DS face fitness camera

Do you find that by the end of a hard day's gaming your unwavering focus on thumbing tiny buttons has left all the rest of your muscles to wane and droop?  Are you a slack-jawed Subway gamer, too busy groping at your DS to realise that there's drool all down your shirt because your flabby mouth can't hold itself shut?  Then perhaps you need a copy of Nintendo's latest facial exercise game, currently in the pipeline but due to hit Japan on August 2nd with a slot-in video camera in tow.

Yes, that's right, a facial exercise game.  Apparently aimed predominantly at women, Face Training is a joint venture between game designers Intelligent Systems and beauty expert Fumiko Inudo.  Mimic the odd grimaces shown in the top screen while monitoring your strangely gurning face on the bottom; the camera lets the DS track your position and seemingly give feedback as to how long you ought to do the exercise for and how far through the full routine you are.

Other than that, the camera appears to be something of a mystery.  IGN are saying that due to its shape and size there may be some issues with fitting it into an original model DS, but we may have to wait until closer to launch to find that out.
