Pizza Hut Added To Amazon Alexa: These Are The Skills

The folks at Pizza Hut have announced a team-up between themselves and Amazon for Alexa Voice Service. This system will add the ability to order a Pizza Hut pizza – and other bits and pieces – from the comfort of one's own couch. No phone involve, no laptop needed. This may be the laziest possible way to get hot food into your mouth in the history of the world.

According to Pizza Hut, a new set of commands is coming to Amazon Alexa devices in the form of a skill set. The Pizza Hut skill involves quite a few different sorts of food items, but not every single piece of food on Pizza Hut's menu. This is keeping it basic – as it should, at first.

The following items can be selected using Amazon Alexa devices after saying "Alexa, ask Pizza Hut for a Pizza, please." Users can also choose to say "Alexa, open Pizza Hut." Users don't NEED to be polite, saying "please", but we recommend it.

• Pepperoni Pizza

• Cheese Pizza

• Veggie Lover's Pizza

• Meat Lover's Pizza

• Supreme Pizza

• Breadsticks

• Cinnamon Sticks

• Pepsi

• Diet Pepsi

• Mist Twist

• Mountain Dew

"Pizza Hut has and always will be devoted to serving customers pizza anywhere, anyhow, and anyway, and using the latest technology is no exception," said Senior Director, Public Relations and Partnerships for Pizza Hut, Doug Terfehr. "Amazon is great to work with and the Pizza Hut skill on Alexa is unlike any other pizza brand with flexible ordering from a menu of options without lifting a finger."

This Pizza Hut skill for Alexa will be starting on December 15th, 2016. Using your already-answered questions about location, phone number, and other personal details, this skill will order from your nearest Pizza Hut. Those users concerned with the time an order will take from the time an order was ordered – there's also a countdown clock available online, but only if orders are made in a web browser. Keep that in mind when you want to order from an Echo.
