Panasonic debuts PT-ST10U short throw projector and more

I am a big fan of projectors. Using them, you can get huge image sizes in your living room or the office without having to spend the kind of money required to purchase a huge plasma or LCD screen. Panasonic has announced several new projectors for different needs today including its first short throw projector called the PT-ST10U.

The PT-ST10U is the first short throw projector for Panasonic and it can throw an image 80-inches wide from 2.7-feet away from the screen. The projector can be used with interactive whiteboards. It has a resolution of 1024 x 768 and 2500 lumens of brightness and will ship in August for $1999.

Along with the affordable short throw projector, Panasonic also unveiled three large venue projectors that are crazy expensive. The projectors are the $69,000 PT-DZ8700U with 10600 lumens of brightness and a 10K:1 contrast ratio, and 1920 x 1200 resolution; the PT-DS8500U with the same features except a 4:3 aspect ratio and 1400 x 1050 resolution; and the PT-DW8300U at $39000 featuring 9600 lumens and a 1366 x 768 resolution.
