Overwatch's Blizzard World Map Is Live With A Bunch Of New Skins

It's been a few months since it was first revealed, but now eager Overwatch players will finally get their chance to take a trip to Blizzard World. For those who missed BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard World is a new map for Overwatch which features a bunch of different references to all of the developer's major franchises. If you've been a fan of Blizzard since the early days, then, you'll definitely want to check out this map.

After all, there are references scattered throughout this map that most Blizzard fans can appreciate. In addition to referencing the company's major franchises like StarCraft, WarCraft, Hearthstone, and Diablo, Blizzard World also contains some call outs for titles like Heroes of the Storm and even The Lost Vikings, a game that pre-dates the "Blizzard Entertainment" name.

Of course, it's not a proper Overwatch update without a bunch of new cosmetics to unlock. In a separate trailer released today, Blizzard reveals that 100 new cosmetics are being added to the game alongside the arrival of Blizzard World. While many of these are things like sprays, victory poses, and highlight intros, there are still plenty of new skins to unlock.

In the trailer, we see new skins for characters like Reinhardt, Lucio, Mei, D.Va, Pharrah, and Hanzo. While a few of these are epic skins, most of them are legendary skins, which means that you'll either need to get really lucky with your loot box pulls or you'll need to spend a bunch of your hard earned credits to buy one of them for yourself. If you're hoping for a specific skin, in other words, it's time to get playing.

Blizzard World and, by extension, these new cosmetics are live now across all versions of Overwatch, so go check it out. Be sure to also stop by the comments section and let us know which of the new skins you like most!
