Oscar Mayer 'Wiener Rover' RC Is A Mini Wienermobile

If you dreamed of driving Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile as a kid, you've got the chance...in the form of a miniature Wienermobile called the "Wiener Rover". Oscar Mayer introduced the Wiener Rover on its Twitter account today; it looks identical to its larger sibling, and is remote controlled, making it as functional as it is meaty and stylish. Unfortunately, the first batch is sold out already.

The Wiener Rover was introduced as a Cyber Monday special. The specifics about it aren't entirely clear, though the product page — which now reads "Sold Out" — does include some small details. For one thing, only 20 units were made available initially — perhaps Oscar Mayer didn't realize how popular its Wienermobile is.

The RC Wienermobile measures in at 21-inches long and it has a top speed of 30MPH. There's the hot dog, of course, and a few wheels...nothing else is known. The controller includes a wheel rather than a thumbstick.

Oscar Mayer does indicate that additional RC units will be made available at some point, but it says the date is "TBD", and there's no details about whether the batch will be as limited as the first one. Price sits at $25 USD.
