Nintendo Switch Deal Adds $25 Gift Card To Best-Seller
The Nintendo Switch has proved resolutely stubborn when it comes to holiday discounts, but a pre-Christmas promotion bundling a free gift card does help sweeten the deal. While December 25th is only a few days away, a new promo for the Switch pairs the best-selling console with a $25 gift card.
The bundle gets you the Nintendo Switch complete with Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con controllers, the Nintendo Switch dock, the Joy-Con straps, and the HDMI cable you'll need to hook it up to your TV. No included games, but Amazon is throwing in a $25 gift card. What you choose to buy with that is up to you.
On the one hand, you could put it toward buying a new Switch title, like Super Smash Bros Ultimate or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, Amazon is providing the gift card in a special pop-up card on its own. That way you could give it as a separate present, and deal with two gifts in one fell swoop.
Usually, you'd be paying $324.99 for both items. However, for a limited time, you can get them for $299 instead. The gift card has no expiration date, and can be used on any Amazon product, not just Switch-related purchases.
Nintendo's reticence to discount the Switch ahead of the holidays doesn't seem to have hurt sales. Indeed, the Switch was recently named the fastest-selling console in the US, beating out the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the process. That's in no small part down to a selection of compelling titles released in recent months.
If you're looking for a console deal on Microsoft's hardware, though, the sales are more favorable. You can currently save a whopping $100 on Xbox One S bundles, including getting the Xbox One S 1TB Battlefield V Bundle for $199.99 instead of the usual $299.99. The Xbox One S 1TB Minecraft Creators Bundle is also $199.
As for the Xbox One X 1TB Fallout 76 Bundle, that's also seeing the discount. You can pick that up for $399 in fact, a big discount from the usual $499.99 price. You'll need to add it to your cart before Amazon shows you the deal price, however. As with all of these holiday promotions, there's no telling when the deal might expire. Amazon does say that it can get the consoles to you in time for Christmas Day, however.
