Nintendo Switch Goes Big With A Bunch Of New eShop Games Today

If you own a Nintendo Switch and you have found you've run out of things to play, then we've got some good news for you. The Nintendo Switch eShop adds an impressive 16 titles over the next week, ramping things up significantly after a rather quiet start to the year. Many of these titles are going live today, while the rest are launching tomorrow and next week.

Perhaps the biggest launch on the Switch eShop today is Darkest Dungeon. Originally beginning life as a Steam Early Access title, Darkest Dungeon is a dark, gothic-themed roguelike where your band of adventurers will have to combat stress, insanity, and disease as well as the monsters that lurk in the dungeons you'll be exploring. It's become quite a big hit on other platforms, so it's little wonder that Nintendo is focusing on it in today's announcement.

We'll also get the first piece of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 quest DLC today. Those who purchased the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Expansion Pass will see the first set of new quests and the third pack of "Helpful Items" launch at 9 PM PT this evening. New Quests Pack 1 features five new quests that have been sprinkled throughout the story, with the first available in Chapter 2 and the last available in Chapter 10.

Nintendo 3DS players aren't being left out in the cold, though the new additions to the eShop are a fair bit slimmer than those for the Switch. Link-a-Pix Color and Raining Coins are both going live on the 3DS eShop today, but they'll likely be overshadowed by Kirby Battle Royale, which is perhaps the biggest release on this list.
