Moto G7 Photos, Specs Leaks Tell All
Not all smartphone users are after the greatest and most expensive handsets money can buy. Many are perfectly fine with a serviceable and affordable smartphone that will hopefully last them throughout the day. For them, mid-range phones like the Moto G series could be more than enough. But while Motorola's G phones have once been hailed as the best bang for buck mid-tier phones you could get, leaks of the Moto G7 models suggest this year might disappoint fans.
It's not really about the design, which is pretty much as you might expect from smartphones on this tier. While the Moto G7, based on leaked live photos, will adopt the trendy waterdrop notch, it doesn't come with the thin bezels usually associated with that screen-expanding design. Instead, you still get thick bezels top and bottom. Amusingly, Motorola has adopted a new dual camera design on the back that looks even more like a robot's face.
No, the disappointment could come from the specs. While there aren't high hopes for these phones given their price range, some might have still hoped for something a bit better than what Motorola will reportedly offer. The Moto G7 Plus, for example, gets a new Snapdragon 636 that is a step down from the earlier rumored Snapdragon 660. Here's a quick rundown of those essential specs.

Motorola has confirmed that it will be holding an event in Brazil on February 7, most likely to announce the four Moto G7 models. Based on the photos, the Moto G7 will come in two color options, though it's still unknown how many variants the other models will come in.
