Mortal Kombat 11 Is Getting A New Three-Player Mode Called Team Raids
Mortal Kombat 11, the latest installment in the series released back in April, is getting a new co-op raid mode called Team Raids that'll allow three players to fight against enemies. The new co-op mode was detailed by NetherRealms during a recent livestream, during which time the team also revealed the game's characters will get a third variation.
The new Mortal Kombat 11 Team Raids mode will tap three players who will each engage in their own individual fights, NetherRealms revealed on Thursday. Each player will be presented with specific challenges during their own fights, giving them a chance to earn power-ups for the entire team or deal extra damage to the boss.
As explained in the video above, each player is going to need to do their part — a failure by one player will have a noticeable impact on the entire team, which will work together in eliminating the boss. An official — and very brief — look at this was shared late last week on the Mortal Kombat 11 Twitter account:
As mentioned, a future patch will also bring third variations to all of the game's characters, bringing new combos and moves for ranked play while helping to keep the game feeling fresh. Players will also find some of the existing character moves have been tweaked to make them suitable for ranked play.
Examples of other moves have also been shared on the game's official Twitter account (below). The team said game owners should expect to see the update bringing these changes 'soon,' but no specific release date has been provided at this time.
