Mercedes-Benz loves its outlandish concepts – the bigger the better – and the latest is this, the Vision Tokyo. Borrowing the autonomous technology from the F 015 Luxury in Motion, the concept is billed as a "chill-out zone" for Generation Z.

Inside, there's room for five, with 360-degree camera feeds from the exterior. You'll probably need them if you ever turn of the self-driving system, too, given the 4.8m length and 2.1m width.

Under the skin there's a fuel-cell powertrain which Mercedes says will be good for around 609 miles of range in combination with the plug-in battery.
