Medion MD RIM 1000 UMPC With Slide-Out Keyboard
Everyone should know how I feel about the ultra portable pc space by now; there's always a place in my heart so as long as there's a keyboard of some sort. The Medion MD RIM 1000 UMPC definitely looks like a winner over Samsung Q1, and perhaps even the Sony UX180p. I'm not too sure how it compares to the Averatec's device, since the specs seems really similar.Speaking of specs, the MD RIM 1000 sports a 6.5-inch touch screen, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, integrated GPS, DVB-T tuner and web cam. The Medion press material didn't really specify the version of the OS, but I'm pretty sure it'll run Windows XP for Tablet PC Edition. The DVB-T tuner is a big hint that it's probably not going to get released stateside. Price is still unknown.
