Loupedeck Is A Physical Console For Lightroom Photo Editing

A new product called Loupedeck aims to revolutionize post-processing for photographers, offering physical controls that work with Adobe Lightroom. The console, as they call it, is similar to a keyboard, but with dials, knobs and buttons that correspond to various things in Adobe's image-editing software. Rather than having to waste time scrolling, clicking through menus, and dragging on-screen items, photographers can edit their images using a simple, yet feature-heavy, console.

Loupedeck is designed for serious graphic designers and photographers, those who need to expedite their editing for efficient workflows. The device was designed specifically for Adobe Lightroom, and features a matte black, soft touch finish, as well as rubber feet and a 32mm thickness. Loupedeck is connected to a computer via USB 2.0 (type A).

Photographs can be manually toggled through based on their star ratings or colors using a dedicated button. There's a knob for rotating photos, a dedicated zoom button, adjustment dials for each color, a dedicated button for viewing before and afters, an undo button, as well as knobs for various Lightroom settings like clarity and tint.

The team behind Loupedeck is seeking funding on Indiegogo, where they've nearly raised their goal with one month remaining. The planned retail price will be $399 USD, though the campaign is offering the device for $249 USD, or about 38-percent off. Shipping is estimated to start in June 2017.
