Lincoln Navigator Concept Gallery

Lincoln's idea of "quiet luxury" now includes gullwing doors, a custom wardrobe system, and more screens than a Cineplex, as Ford's luxe arm explores ways to compete in the increasingly aggressive high-end SUV segment. Shown off for the first time this week at the New York International Auto Show 2016, the striking Lincoln Navigator Concept is a preview of the production SUV of the same name.

On the outside, vast wheels and an imposing fascia can't quite distract from the huge gullwing doors that fully open each side of the car. The concertina three-stage steps help you climb into a leather-trimmed cabin that, Lincoln claims, is its largest interior to-date.

Inside you find plenty of widescreens, WiFi hotspot and sharing support, and a number of advanced driver-assist features like pre-collision automatic braking and pedestrian detection. Expect them to make it to the production Navigator – along with the new, 400HP+ 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 – though probably not the doors.
