Is it time to invite the Google Assistant into the bedroom? Lenovo certainly thinks it is, and so the Smart Clock makes its pitch to take a spot on your nightstand. In the process, it'll replace your standard alarm clock with an Assistant-powered alternative.

The design is compact and appealing, with a 4-inch touchscreen on the front and a fabric-wrapped body. Easy to locate volume buttons and a tap-to-silence feature join a display that gets dim enough to not keep you awake at night. Come the morning, Sunrise alarms mimic the rising sun to ease you into the day more gently.

At $79, it's for now the cheapest Assistant-powered smart display on the market. Despite that, you still get Routines, smart home integration, and the ability to pester the Assistant with questions – without it running out of patience.
