Leica M10 Gallery

Leica knows how to make a beautifully retro camera, and the new Leica M10 is no different. Latest in the company's M-Series, the M10 gets the closest ever to the dimensions of an analog "M" with a digital version; indeed, it's the slimmest digital "M" that Leica has ever made. Along the way, the company has made some changes to its rangefinder.

There's a 30-percent larger field of view, for instance, from the 2.4-megapixel viewfinder, and a bigger 0.73x magnification. Optimum distance of viewfinder to eye has been increased by 50-percent as well, which Leica says should make the M10 more comfortable to use, particularly if you wear glasses.

Of course, the really important part is the 24 MP, full-frame CMOS sensor, capable of ISO 100 to 50,000. There's Leica's new Maestro II image processor with a 2GB buffer memory, which adds up to 5fps full-resolution sequential shooting. The M10 is the first Leica camera to get built-in WiFi, too, and it's the first digital "M" to have manual controls for focusing, aperture, shutter speed and ISO value.
