LeEco US Launch Gallery

What does LeEco do? The question really ought to be what doesn't the Chinese behemoth do. From its origins in 2004 as an on-demand streaming provider – rising, in fact, to be China's largest – it now has a popular range of smartphones and TVs in its home territory.

Next, then, comes an assault on the North American market. LeEco is counting on affordable pricing – its 85-inch TV is roughly half the price of what Samsung would charge you for a 4K set, for instance – and the promise of legal streaming content to convince choice-spoiled US buyers to opt for a relatively unknown brand.

Meanwhile, there are more unusual products that LaEco insists fit into its overall platform too. Unveiled in San Francisco, California, the LeEco LaSEE Pro is the company's second vision of an autonomous vehicle. At the other end of the transportation scale, the SmartBike mounts an Android computer on the handlebars.
