Law firm to distribute part of a $16.4 million class action settlement against AT&T

AT&T is certainly no stranger to class action suits and the telephone company has lost a few major cases over the years. One of the most recent legal actions against AT&T was a class action suit in the US district court for the District of Kansas.

The case was brought against AT&T on behalf of customers in California that were charged a USF charge between August 1, 2001 and March 31, 2003. The federal court is considering a plan what will allow the distribution of part of the $16,477,954 settlement to the class.

AT&T appealed the original judgment ruling and the ruling has been upheld on appeal. Eligible class members can get as much as $1,000 per valid claim depending on how many people file to be part of the class. The claim forms can be found at the official website for the class action here. The legal tem on the class action wants 33 and a third percent of the settlement for a bit over $3 million.
