Kinetic Mobile Phones

These days, the single most important feature in a cell phone has to be the battery life. Yes, a good camera and 3G connectivity are great, but if your phone is dead, you won't be taking any pictures. What if you could charge your cell phone just by carrying it around all day?

Seems like a great idea to me. A patent has recently been discovered for a device that could do just that. This won't be limited to mobile phones, it will be designed to work with all different types of gadgets. I could see the Wiimote benefiting greatly from something like this.

This technology is still a long way off, but if it can generate enough power to make a difference, there will definitely be a market for it.
