JJ Abrams Has A Cut Of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Already
There's a cut of Star Wars: The Force Awakens out there, ladies of gentlemen. It exists. Not that we didn't know this would eventually happen, but it's so close, we can taste it. Abrams confirmed that he had a cut – not even necessarily the first cut of the film – for preview. This isn't the sort of cut that just anyone will be able to see – it's an indicator that we're in or near the Post Production stages of the movie.
This is a marker in the sand for those of you looking to legitimize rumors, bits and pieces of news from the set. If you hear any word about new scenes being filmed from this point forward, expect that they're not supremely vital to the inner workings of the main plot. It's just extra coverage from here on out.
We'll be listening in with our contacts on the ground for the rest of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel for the rest of tonight, so stay tuned. We've seen JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy, and Lawrence Kasdan on stage so far.
We're expecting Daisy Ridley (Rey) and John Boyega (Finn) here sooner or later as well. They've already been spotted on the floor pre-panel. Stick around our Star Wars tag portal for more!
