Imagine By Kia Gallery

Kia's new EV is declaring war on preconceptions that electric cars have to be earnest and dull. The Imagine by Kia was been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2019, a concept car from the South Korean automaker that previews some of its future design language – as well as its approach to electrification in general. The goal? To get your heart racing.

Outside, there's a bold body design that falls somewhere in the center of a four-door sedan, a crossover, and an SUV. Eye-catching headlamps look like LEDs embedded in clear acrylic blocks, a theme Kia suggests may well appear on its future production cars. Strakes in varying lengths and angles catch the light to give the concept the look of something constantly moving.

Inside, the most striking feature is the screen-heavy dashboard. A full 21 screens, each curving like a wave, are a tongue-in-cheek nod to the tendency of automakers to give over huge swathes of the cabin to bigger and bigger displays.
