Huawei Mate 20 Lite full details revealed by Polish retailer

Huawei called out Samsung over the not-so-real generation upgrade of the Galaxy Note 9 but it won't be until a month or two before we find out what it really has in mind. But before the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro finally debuts, Huawei might prepare its fans with the Mate 20 Lite. At least that might be the case if the "lite" flagship is already hitting retailers in their more or less final state, including the price.

Of course, retailers have been known to jump the gun too early, sometimes with incomplete and inaccurate details. Given what we've seen and heard so far, however, the product details posted by Polish retailer X-Kom could very well be the real deal. Or at least most of them.

Sadly, notch haters will have to accept the painful truth. Go for a Huawei phone and you're guaranteed to have a cutout. The full thing, not the new waterdrop fad we're seeing lately. That 6.3-inch LCD screen will at least have a mighty 2340x1080 resolution and a way to mask the notch if it really bothers you that much.

The specs are also more or less confirmed here, including the new Kirin 710 processor, Huawei's first 12 nm process chip, and a decent 3,750 mAh battery. There does seem to be some discrepancy in RAM sizes, with earlier leaks claiming 6 GB and the X-Kom listing only 4 GB. Given the Huawei P20 Lite and the Huawei Mate 10 Lite last year had 4 GB RAM, we're hoping to see at least 6 GB this time.

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite will also have four cameras, two on each side of course. On the back you get a 24 megapixel sensor paired with a 2 megapixel depth sensor while on the front you have a massive 20 meagapixel camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor as well. X-Kom will be selling two color variants, black and blue, both with dual SIM support, though there seems to also be a gold model as well.

The retailer also kindly gives us a price tag: 1,599 PLN, around $437. That's pretty standard for a mid-range phone but with something like the high-end POCOPHONE F1 launching for 329 EUR (1,405 PLN, $385), the Huawei Mate 20 Lite might suddenly find itself pushed out of the spotlight quickly.
